Christmas movie pause: Lethal Weapon

Lethal Weapon is a sort of Christmas film, meaning it isn’t really about Christmas but takes place during the Christmas season. It can be a nice change of pace if you’re starting to choke on too much modern christmas treestinsel. It’s hard to decide the best part of the 1987 film, the action, the humor, or a very young and sexy Mel Gibson. A buddy-cop film by Richard Donner, it proved so popular that it was followed by three additional Lethal Weapon films. Christmas trees, Christmas music, and Christmas dinner are background for murder, mayhem, and comedy.

Rated R/110 minutes.
