Christmas classics: The Bishop’s Wife

Probably not as well-known as some of the other Christmas classics, this is a favorite because the suave and sexy Cary Grant is improbably cast as an angel…an angel with a devilish glint in his eye. Delicious! Released in 1947, the film was nominated for 5 Academy Awards including best picture, best director, and best music.

Favorite scene: drinking sherry with the Professor and oddly-behaving wine glasses.
